If you are a mom blogger, you more than likely have visited MomDot. MomDot is owned and run by Trisha who is an awesome blogger and is always trying to help other mom bloggers out. You can find a ton of great "blogging resources" posts there like How to Get More Blog Visitors and How to get into Review Blogging. I have read most if not all of her resource articles and they have been a tremendous help to me as I find my niche in the blogosphere.
Well now Trisha has outdone herself in starting up a new website called Pitch Bloggers where PR reps and mom bloggers will be brought together. A little bit about Pitch Bloggers from the site:
www.PitchBloggers.com is a comprehensive resource designed to help PR and marketing professionals get up to speed on best practices for working with mom bloggers and creating campaigns that incorporate the right mix of social media. There is a lot of advice out there from PR pros about how to pitch mom bloggers. There is an equal number of bloggers doling out motherly advice to PR professionals about how to pitch. But often these well-meaning groups are missing something critical: a true, stand-in-my-shoes understanding of how the other half works. That is where we are different. Our dynamic team is made up of moms, seasoned PR professionals and long time, experienced bloggers. We provide the ideal combination of expertise and experience to help you effectively engage with bloggers, keeping in mind the context in which PR and marketing professionals work. We know the pain of short timelines and demanding clients, or bosses who want to “reach those mom bloggers.” |
For a small monthly fee, public relations and marketing professionals can "view messages from bloggers, post pitches, ask questions and meet some of the leading mom bloggers on the Web." Pitch Bloggers will also help you develop and implement your campaign.
Bloggers can join for free and must fill out an application and sign an ethics agreement. You can see my "ethical blogger" badge over in my sidebar. If your application is approved you will then be brought face to face with PR reps in the Pitch Bloggers forum. On its opening day, Pitch Bloggers received an overwhelming amount of applications from bloggers. They are still accepting applications, but I do not know for how much longer. So hurry over to Pitch Bloggers today and apply before it is too late!
I just found them yesterday....it looks like it will be a great resource for us bloggers!!! This is my first visit to your site!!! I already posted your party button and signed up to your blog via email so I won't forget the party:)
