I went out on the deck first thing yesterday morning and discovered muddy animal footprints all over the kids' picnic table. Now, our deck is nearly 2 stories off the ground with a gate, so this critter had to climb up a big flight of stairs and either jump the gate or crawl between the spindles. No idea what it thinks it will find up here, we have no pets so there are no food bowls up here. Could he be attracted to the grease from the grill?
Based on the prints I am thinking it might be a raccoon. What do you think?
Oh yikes that does look like a racoons, or maybe a possum!
ReplyDeleteEek whatever it is looks like it has claws.
ReplyDeleteYeah I definitely think it has claws.
ReplyDeleteI would think raccoon too. The first picture I was really confused and I thought "uh... I only see arrows" Then I realized I'm smart, like dump truck.
ReplyDeleteHmm... time to set up a camera to figure out for sure!
ReplyDeleteLOL totally a raccoon!! Those little guys are cute and pesky at the same time. I was going to ask you why your picnic table was so clean then I read it is 2 stories off the ground. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat'd be my guess - crazy!
ReplyDeletemaybe a bear. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Yep, looks like a raccoon!!
ReplyDeleteI would think it is a raccoon, they are rambunctious little guys.
ReplyDeleteWe had visits from raccoons when part of our fence was done, but they visited us for our dog food. Never left us prints, though.
ReplyDeletelooks raccoon-y to me too
ReplyDeleteRacoons are usually always the culprit
ReplyDeleteRacoons can climb well, stay away they are mean!
ReplyDeleteYes, that looks like raccoon prints! EEEEK! Stay clear, they are MEAN (we have them around our place, too).
ReplyDeleteI think you might be right!
ReplyDeleteWoke up to more prints this morning. It's funny because there are Jo prints on the deck or stairs, just the table. I've got a flying raccoon on my hands.
ReplyDeleteDang, whatever it is, it's a determined little creature.
ReplyDeleteI vote raccoon.. yikes those buggars can be mean!
ReplyDeletePhotobucket is blocked here at work, so I can't see the pictures. :-( I will try to get back over here tonight from home, but I wanted to say thanks for the linky!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's a raccoon. They are great climbers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the linky, too.
Angie
They do look like raccoon prints! You should set up a camera and get some shots!
ReplyDeletesounds like you have someone else who loves that table as much as the one that is meant for
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it could possibly be a cat? We have neighbor cats that leave tracks all over our vehicles, etc. We have that same picnic table!
ReplyDeleteUGH --- the fact that I can tell it has CLAWS is making my skin crawl. Eeek!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what that is. Hopefully nothing too scary. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, looks like racoon prints to me. I think they are adorable, but only if you see them at night and they don't sneak up on you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. =)
