Thanksgiving Themed Bento Lunches for Kids

I have not been doing any creative bento lunches for my son lately. He fell in love with the whole grain English Muffin pizzas I started making and requests one every day. Yeah it is pretty boring, but he loves to eat them and they are easy enough to make. But with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I decided to spend some time on Pinterest, my favorite time suck, and see if I could find some fun Thanksgiving bento lunches. Here are a few I came across, most of them are cute turkeys. Which one is your favorite?


Turkey shaped sandwich with carrot and cucumber sticks as feathers.



Turkey lunch meat sandwich shaped like a turkey with green, read and yellow apples as feathers. So cute. The leaf sprinkles in the applesauce are a really nice touch.




I think this Indian girl sandwich bento is adorable.




Here is a vegetarian Thanksgiving bento made with tofurky.




Another Turkey shaped sandwich, this one with cheese as the feathers.




I love this bento with a pilgrim and Indian girl made out of rice balls.




This might be my favorite Turkey shaped sandwich, with the apples spread out like feathers. I think my kids would love this.




The turkey footprints across the sandwich are hilarious. I can't even imagine how long it took to cut those out of cheese.




Nevermind my kids, I want to eat this ravioli turkey!




Hard boiled egg pilgrim and Indian. I need to see if I can find some nori locally to start decorating my bentos with.

    Yes, they're all cute, but it appears some moms have far too much time on their hands. Do the children appreciate the time, effort and, yes, humor that went into making these creations?
