I'm Almost Done With My Holiday Shopping

Thank goodness. Having four children plus extended family to shop for can be quite time consuming. To be honest, I am ready for it to be over. Since I was sick on Thanksgiving night and Black Friday, I missed out on shopping the deals in stores. This is usually when I do 75% of my holiday shopping. Instead, I crawled into bed Black Friday afternoon and brought my laptop with me to try to take advantage of the online deals. Lucky for me, most stores had their doorbusters online as well and I was able to get pretty much everything on my shopping list at the low price. This is by far the most online shopping I have done for the holidays. The past ten days has seen package after package delivered to my house. Luckily, the kids don't even notice since I often get packages for blog reviews anyway. The pile of stacked boxes in the basement is a little ridiculous though.

Now that all of my orders have arrived, it is time for me to sort through it all. I will need to make a pile for each of my children and then make sure they each have an equal amount of gifts to open. I am sure I will need to fill in with one or two items since I did not keep track of how many gifts I bought for each. And since my toddler turns two this month, I need to pick up a few more things for him. I've had my eye on a Twilight Turtle by Cloud B for him so I have to see if I can hunt down a Toys R Us coupon code and try to save a few bucks when I order it. I have absolutely no desire to visit any toy stores during the holiday madness, so I'll happily shop from my couch while watching Hawaii Five-O tonight. Then I should be done and can focus on wrapping it all. Ugh.
