This Earth Day, the fourth film from Disneynature opens in theaters: Chimpanzee. Journey deep into the African forests and meet young chimp Oscar and follow his unique story.
"Disneynature’s newest True-Life Adventure introduces Oscar, a young chimp whose playful curiosity and zest for discovery light up the African forest until a twist of fate leaves Oscar to fend for himself with a little help from an unexpected ally." |
We loved African Cats last year and I am looking forward to taking our boys to see Chimpanzee this April. I am lucky that our sons love learning about animals and love nature, so a movie like this will be so fun for them and educational as well.
As with past Disneynature films, ticket proceeds from the opening week go to a charity. "See CHIMPANZEE, Save Chimpanzees" will be April 20 through April 26 and during this week, Disneynature will contribute 20¢ per ticket sold to the Jane Goodall Institute for the Disneynature Tchimpounga Nature Reserve Project. The goals of this project are to protect the habitat, educate the next generation about the plight of the chimpanzees and care for orphaned chimpanzees.
Take a look at the Chimpanzee official trailer and tell me that Oscar is not the cutest little thing! I definitely want to learn more about his story.
Will you "See a Chimp, Save a Chimp" this Earth Day? Who will you take with you?
